Experience from Vigorous Warrior 26 will be featured at the NATO CA2X2 Forum 2026 in Rome in the presentation “Empowering Observers in Military Medical Exercises Through Timely, AI-Assisted Reporting: A Case Study from Vigorous Warrior 26.”
During the exercise, the Medical Training Alignment Toolkit (medTAT) was used to support Observer Trainers in capturing structured observations and connecting them with training objectives, units, scenario events, and casualty-related context. The platform also supported the transformation of collected observations into timely reports and AI-assisted analytical outputs for exercise evaluation and After-Action Review.
The presentation will focus on how digital tools such as medTAT can strengthen the role of Observer Trainers by helping ensure that valuable observations do not remain isolated notes, but become actionable evidence for improving training, readiness, and ultimately survivability in future missions.
The session will share lessons from the Vigorous Warrior 26 experience and explore how better use of observer-generated data can contribute to more responsive and evidence-informed military medical training.
